That’s where CASA Volunteer Advocates come in. CASA is an acronym for Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA Volunteer Advocates are everyday citizens who come from all walks of life with a variety of backgrounds. They have passed background checks and have completed a 30-hour training course. The Volunteer Advocates are educators, business people, grandparents, retirees, or stay-at-home moms who are committed to bringing the voice of a child to the ears of the Court. They are people JUST LIKE YOU!

CASA Volunteer Advocates get to know the children and gather first-hand knowledge from everyone involved in the children’s lives. From the gathered information, the Volunteer Advocates provide recommendations to help the Judge make informed decisions.

The mission of CASA of Calloway and Marshall Counties, Inc. is to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in Calloway and Marshall County Family Court by utilizing committed and trained citizen volunteers from our community and collaborating with other social service agencies as needed.
